Spring 2008

Pottery Town (Athens, GA)
Friday, March 21st through Sunday, March 23rd

The goal of this charrette is to create a proactive plan for future development in this historic area of downtown Athens. The neighborhood consists of a small group of 1910 era houses and is currently under development pressure. Also involved are historic preservation issues, environmental management (especially floodplain concerns) and urban planning. We'll be working with neighborhood residents and community leaders on a proactive perspective for positive change.

Friday, March 28th through Sunday, March 30

This focus of this charrette is to develop assess recent updates to the Campus Master Plan (updates by Sasaki Assoc.), extend the master planning concepts into new parts of the Campus, address historic building condition and placement, unify signs and wayfinding systems. The college will be experiencing a tremendous amount of growth in the next few years and has plenty of land on which to do it. However, they want our input to come up with alternative visions for expansion and growth.

Washington County Regional Medical Center
Saturday February 16th through Monday February 18th.

This charrette aims to design a new identity for the Medical Center that combines the historic aspect of the building, grounds, and community with the contemporary aspects of running a state of the art medical facility.
