New Zealand is focus of Garden discussion

The State Botanical Garden of Georgia will host a “Garden Travels Discussion” May 28 from 6-8 p.m. in the Gardenside Room. The event will include a social hour with dinner or coffee from Donderos’ Kitchen. The discussion topic for this event, led by Carol and Hugh Nourse, is the New Zealand South Island Alps. The event is free.

Ramsey Center offering swim lessons

The Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities is offering a variety of summer “Learn to Swim” courses for preschoolers to adults in private to group settings. The sessions start on June 9, 17 and Aug. 15. See recsports.uga.edu for more details.

University to close for Memorial Day
In honor of all Americans who have died in wars, the university will commemorate Memorial Day. There will not be any classes and all offices will be closed on May 27.
