¡Si, Se Puede!

¡Si, Se Puede! is a one-day conference targeted to rising ninth to twelve grade students that are interested in learning about higher education and being active in their communities. The conference was named ¡Si, Se Puede! in honor of Cesar Chavez's works as a human rights activist. The ¡Si, Se Puede conference consists of workshops where students interact and learn about a variety of subjects: US Latino culture, art, and activism, as well as benefits of graduating from high school and pursuing a post-secondary education. UGA representatives and speakers from organizations were invited to speak with the students. Lastly, the youth conference provides high school students with vital information via resource fair, where they can learn about other organizations that will aid them when applying for college, and scholarships.
