The Student Merchandising Association is a professional club in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences that provides its members with educational and developmental opportunities that will facilitate further interest and knowledge of all avenues within the industry of fashion.

SMA is best known for its newest tradition, Cotton House for a Cause. This annual community fashion show produced revenues last year of $1500. This money was donated to the underprivilegded children's charity, The Volunteer Action Center. This year, we will donate all proceeds to the Athens Battered Women's Shelter. For more information about designers, sponsors, advertising, or modeling, please contact SMA at ugasma@arches.uga.edu. Here are some pictures of the April 2000 Catwalk for a Cause:

This year SMA wants YOU! Come to our next meeting on SUNDAY, March 25, 2001 at the Cotton House. The Cotton House is located at 650 Pulaski Street, just before the RAILROAD Tracks on the right. You definitely don't want to miss out! This is going to be our biggest show yet! So, get up off of the couch, move away from this computer screen, and join us on SUNDAY, March 25th!!!
