Greetings,
The faculty of the Department of Speech Communication offer substantive training in Rhetorical Studies or Communication Studies at the M.A. and Ph.D. level. Please use the above links to navigate through the information available on our “graduate” link.
Our well-ranked graduate programs reflects our tradition of excellence. A primary attraction of graduate study in our department is the faculty. Our faculty are nationally recognized scholars in specialized areas of rhetorical studies and the social scientific study of human communication. The members of the faculty are active scholars and committed teachers who embrace a philosophy of supportiveness and accessibility in their relations with graduate students.
Another attractive feature of our program is the limited number of students that we admit each year. All admitted students are funded via a research or teaching assistantship. Both opportunities allow for insurance coverage, Further, both opportunities allow for an enmeshed experience in our graduate program.
We invite you to apply for graduate work in our department. If you have questions about our graduate program please direct you inquiries to me.
Think UGA!
