Political science doctoral student recognized in “Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities”
The School of Public and International Affairs and the Department of Political Science is pleased to announce that doctoral student Laura Moyer has been included in the 2008 “Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.” Moyer is among seven University of Georgia graduate students to receive this honor in 2008.
“Who’s Who Among Students” honors outstanding campus leaders from across the country for their academic and community achievements. Nominated in the fall, students are selected based on their academic merit, including awards, scholarships, internships, and publications, demonstrations of leadership, community service, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and potential for continued success.
As a doctoral student in the department of political science, Moyer has won numerous awards, including the top honors awarded to graduate teaching assistants at the University of Georgia.
Studying law and courts, Moyer has focused much of her doctoral research on judicial decision-making in the U.S. Courts of Appeals. Following graduation in May, she will move to Baton Rouge, where she has accepted a tenure track position at Louisiana State University that begins in the fall. |
