Yurena Yanes

Yurena Yanes works on Late Quaternary mollusks assemblages to estimate environmental and climatic changes through time. She has integrated multiple techniques and disciplines on well-preserved terrestrial gastropods, including stable isotopes, aminoacid dating, taxonomy, taphonomy and paleoecology; to rebuild and characterize ancient environments from the Canary Islands. Currently, she is working under Dr. Christopher S. Romanek mentorship on stable isotopes (CF-IRMS) and laser ablation (LA-ICPMS) techniques.
