The Savannah River Ecology Laboratory's Ecological Stewardship Group is a multidisciplinary program with full-time faculty working on a wide assortment of research problems in scientific fields related to the restoration and appropriate use of government lands especially lands in Aiken, South Carolina  on the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site.  Work is currently being done in a variety of areas ranging from vegetation dynamics to stream community metabolism and plant community disturbance ecology.
