I am a research coordinator at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory.
I am working on the SERDP sandhills project with Dr. Rebecca Sharitz. The objective of the project is to evaluate "the effects of forest management practices and military training activities on the Fall Line sandhills community and the suite of threatened and endangered plant and animal species (TES) that they contain." Currently, my primary duties include participating in sampling of areas where targeted TES occur and other areas with suitable habitat, taking inventories of population sizes, and identifying the sandhill locations that appear to be optimal for expanding TES populations through reintroductions.
