QUESTION

The basic research question asks - whether an experienced planter can alter the success (survival and growth) of a restoration effort by being able to alter the species to be planted and/or the exact planting locations.

A restoration research program examined a series of questions concerning species selection and establishment methods. Two experiments can be viewed in this aerial photograph: in the foreground is a trial involving a long transect across the delta and in the background is a trial examining the importance of herbaceous competition control.
