Objectives

Winter burn in a sandhills community

Winter burn in a sandhills community

To determine if three common sandhills grasses respond to spatially heterogenous nutrient pulses through concentrated root biomass allocation within those patches.

To determine if these grasses have greater above-ground biomass when grown in spatially heterogenous or homogenous high or low soil nutrients.

To determine if these grasses have a lower root:shoot ratio when grown in heterogenous or more enriched soil.
