A garden crop study was set up on the contaminated lakebed sediments, to investigate the use of topsoil (locally available, nursery grade), potassium fertilizer and zeolite (clinoptilolite) as immobilizing amendments to prevent 137Cs uptake in a variety of commonly grown garden vegetables.
