BRIEF SUMMARY

Although the aquatic stages of pond-breeding salamanders are better studied, the terrestrial stages are demographically more sensitive. Application of the model to data from a field study on the SRS indicates that persistence of the population at Ginger's Bay depends either on high terrestrial survival or on immigration of breeding females from nearby ponds.
