Reference: Dalvé, 1948; Ludvigsen and Chatterton, 1982
Also known as Pterygometopus carleyi, but Ludvigsen and Chatterton (1982) report that Achatella is the only pterygometopine occurring in the Ordovician rocks of Laurentia
