Annual Processes Timeline

Annual Report

Each department creates their Annual Report from the end of January to beginning of April each year. The Annual Report allows each department to highlight the most significant achievements of their unit throughout the previous calendar year as well as provide information necessary to enable the Division to prepare the Division of Student Affairs Annual Report for University Administrators.

Annual reports are not intended to be comprehensive statements of all activities and achievements. They should highlight significant achievements and analyze progress towards strategic goals and priorities (as determined during Priority Planning).

Annual Reports are due to DSAA in the first week of March each year. Guidelines for Completing the 2005 Annual Report are available here.

Priority Planning

Priority Planning occurs from May 1 - August 1 each year. During this time, each department in the Division determines three-five priorities it will focus on in the coming year as related to the Division's Strategic Plan. The priorities chosen should align with the mission/goals of the department, Division, and University. The Division's Planning Model provides a brief look at what should be considered in the determination of each department's priorities.

By August 1 of each year, a Priority Planning Worksheet for each of the three-five departmental priorities should be returned to OSAA. For definitions of terms used in the planning process, click here.
