by being like-minded,
having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose." --

Mission |
Team United exists to ignite a movement of the Gospel
of Jesus Christ to reach out
to the athletes,
coaches & athletic community at UGA.
|
|
Purpose |
Team United's purpose is to build
and disciple athletes so that they may influence
others though Jesus
Christ.
We do this through LOVE: |
| |
Listening to them
Offering them Biblical teaching
Valuing them
Encouraging them
|
|
|
|
What is Team United? |
Team United is a coalition of
representatives from Athletes in Action (AIA), Fellowship of
Christian Athletes (FCA),
and Georgia Athletes Outreach (GAO). These campus ministries have
formed Team United
to reach out to the athletes
and coaching staff at the University of Georgia.

AIA and FCA. GAO does not currently have a website. |

|
Who Can Participate? |
Team United targets athletes and
coaches, although we welcome anyone who wishes to attend
our
meetings, Bible studies, and activities. It is our hope that as
athletes grow in their faith,
they will desire to reach out to the
entire student body.

What Do We offer? |
Worship
We provide an environment where Christians can
worship God
and where non-Christians can see God's glory revealed through His
people.
|
Community
We provide an environment for Christians
and non-Christians to experience Christ in a real way
by reflecting the grace we've been given, in Christ, while urging
each other to live God pleasing lives.
|
Outreach
We provide evangelism, not just as one part of
our ministry, but that it would
permeate everything we do. We strive to love and serve all those in
the campus community.
|
Fellowship Groups
We provide small groups (6-12 people) to help
us experience Christ by sharing
what He has done for us
while allowing others to share what He has done in them.
We
accomplish this through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.
|
Socials
We provide events, socials, and other
gatherings for Christian athletes that can be
an alternative to the
party scene.
