Be prepared to play any two-octave major scale and to be able to demonstrate the upper and lower extremities of your range.

Haddad- Suite
Hartley- Suite for Unaccompanied Tuba

Master's Euphonium and Tuba
Be prepared to play 20-30 minutes of solo music covering three different style periods. In addition, tubists should prepare 5 standard orchestral excerpts and euphoniumists should prepare 5 standard band excerpts.
Doctoral Euphonium and Tuba
Auditions for entry into the Doctoral program consist of a public recital with accompaniment. You should submit a 50 minute recital program to Professor Zerkel, and he will give you guidelines on what to prepare from this program. In addition, DMA applicants should prepare five standard excerpts for their instrument.
UGA will assist you in finding a local accompanist. The accompanist’s fee is the responsibility of the applicant.
