Mission Statement

The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rates at which participants enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.

The Upward Bound Program at the University of Georgia has been in operation since 1980. Currently, the program is funded to serve 128 students who attend four target high schools. The eight target high schools are: Cedar Shoals, Clarke Central, Oglethorpe County, Banks County, Hart County, Jackson County, Wilkes County and Madison County high schools.
