The main purpose of the University of Georgia Upward Bound Program's Student Government Association is to provide a voice for the student body to the administrative and instructional staff. Also, the SGA is entrusted with planning the program's cultural/educational activities.

More specifically, the officers will:

• Develop leadership skills
• Enhance their competencies
• Develop public speaking skills
• Assist with special activities
• Represent the program at special functions of the program and community

The SGA hopes to get input from all the students and include suggestions. One way to do this is by hearing the participants ideas and suggestions. The SGA plans to hold a meeting and a workshop geared toward making SGA a success.

The SGA officers work hard to fulfil their duties and are committed to making things better for Upward Bound.
