Come Play Chess!

We meet every Monday and Wednesday in the Tate student center from 7-10pm. Everyone is welcome, just stop by anytime to play a game. Don't be shy, walk up to the people playing chess and introduce yourself. Boards are provided.

 

Becoming a Member

The easist way to become a member is to just come to one of the weekly meetings and introduce yourself! There are no membership fees, and membership is granted to anyone who asks. If you would like to make it more official please E-mail Pabritzo@uga.edu with the subject line "Chess Dawgs."

Coming to the weekly meetings is a great way to meet new people and make new friends! Many of these friendships extend beyond just meeting on Monday and Wednesday nights at Tate.

Being a member of the Chess Dawgs is Free! We provide chess boards for everyone to play on too, so all anyone ever has to do is just show up and introduce themselves.

Chess is challenging but it is also fun. For centuries millions of people in all cultures and walks of life have enjoyed the "game of kings." It is a game of all ages where everyone is on a level playing field.
