Handbook

Preface:

The University of Georgia Marine Institute publication “A Sapelo Island Handbook” has been out of print since mid 1998. The print edition was last reprinted in 1990, and the following version is at the moment a slightly edited "electronic" 2nd edition (therefore an eHandbook) that is now available through the UGA Marine Institute Web Site. You are welcome to down load and utilize this material for non-commercial purposes only.

This revised electronic version is a work in progress, but the original publication and this information is also regularly requested by Sapelo Island visitors so for the moment a current draft will be maintained on our web site. I plan to slowly add additional references and “hot links” to various web sites as well as continue to update some of the written material. At the moment the text below does not include figures or photos, updated ones will be added at a later date. The text below will generally be the edited content from the original printed edition and the majority of added material will be "links" to updated

Last, the Marine Institute is always looking for help and ncouragement, any comments, critiques, or reasonable
