UGANET is a grassroots organization of network administrators, technical professionals, and interested individuals at the University of Georgia. UGANET meets once a month to provide a forum for the discussion technical and networking issues. While not directly a branch of the University administration, UGANET is recognized by the Information Technology Advisory Council and the Information Technology Management Forum as the official voice for computer and network professionals on campus.

UGANET meets at 1:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month, in a location announced to the mailing list. Currently, the regular meeting location is in the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

The Chair and spokesperson for UGANET is currently Paul Keck, who also maintains this site. The position of UGANET Secretary is responsible for taking the minutes of each meeting and is currently held by Wayne Crotts. The officers of UGANET are elected by the membership at each September meeting.
