Welcome to UGAnime!Welcome! UGAnime exists mainly to promote and showcase Japanese animation for the University of Georgia and beyond. In the fall of 2006 we celebrated our 10th anniverary of serving the University of Georgia's anime fans! Not only do we hold weekly showings of a regular schedule (Mondays 7-10pm, SLC 148!), we also participate in special events and attempt to provide a network for those interested in anime and Japanese culture. ![]() |
Our regular (Fall and Spring semester) Monday meetings consist of our scheduled shows, with a short break in the middle (which usually is between the 3rd and 4th show - at about 8:30pm). At our Wednesday Organizational "Org" Meetings, the officers and dedicated club members gather in the Tate Student Center to discuss important club events. Come here if you want to get more involved in the club, learn about upcoming events (booths, street paintings, conventions), and get to know the fellow members. For more specific info about how things are done around here - club membership, driving directions, etc - check out our super-informative info page. If you have a LiveJournal and are or plan to become a UGAnime regular, it is highly reccomended that you join the UGAnimeNews livejournal community - you'll get UGAnime news delivered straight to your friendslist!
