Heather Mitchell
is a graduate student at The University of Georgia,
currently completing her M.A. in English Literature. Her thesis
examines the twin themes of nationalism and feminism in the works of

publisher, and performer. In addition to African-American literature,
Heather is also interested in women's literature and feminist theories
and is pursuing a graduate certificate in Women's Studies. After
completing her M.A., Heather plans to spend some time teaching high
