| Can anyone join? Yes! Providing you are a university student, you are welcome to join AIESEC.
Students from all faculties are welcome and encouraged to join AIESEC, it is an excellent opportunity for everyone
interested in learning about the business world through AIESEC's activities. |
| What can I learn? AIESEC, is more than
just a club it is a business. AIESEC gives you the opportunity to
develop your personal skills such as time management, critical thinking.
Interpersonal skills such as public speaking, team work, intercultural
communication, networking, and leadership.Organizational skills like
project management, organizational management, sales/marketing, and
planning. |
| How do I learn all this? Through your participation
in various projects you will gain opportunities to apply your current
skills and knowledge. You will have the opportunity to network with
business executives. You will work one on one with people from all
over the world. You will also gain additional skills and knowledge
by attending AIESEC conferences nationally and internationally. |
| How much time does it take? That is entirely
up to you. Obviously the more you get involved the longer it takes.
However the people who get most involved find they get much more back
than the effort they put in. With time management skills developed
while in AIESEC, you should be able to effectively manage all your
various priorities and still be active in AIESEC. |
| What is expected of me? This is up to you.
If you want to be an active member, this means you need do more than
just show up to meetings: you need to get actively involved in the
running of AIESEC's activities. This means taking and fulfilling some
level of responsibility. And, of course, as you take more responsibility
and challenge yourself, you learn more and help others learn with
you. |
| What can I do in AIESEC? Almost anything!
AIESEC's activities center around five "focus areas" with
the international exchange of people used as key means to direct these
areas. There are constantly a large and growing number of activities
to be involved in locally, nationally and internationally...all you
have to is decide which ones interest you the most and get involved!
In fact, if you would like to start your own activities with in AIESEC's
framework, you are actively encouraged to. |
| How can I get involved? Attend a local meeting,
find out what's going on, ask questions and you'll soon start discovering
that there are countless ways to get involved. Regardless of if its
as a project team member, organizing a conference, attending a conference,
managing the local committee, you'll find whatever you do will open
up a world of opportunities you never thought existed. The choice
is up to you. |
