Educational Programs at the Garden

Field trips, summer camps, family festivals, school clubs, teacher training workshops and a diverse array of adult programs serve thousands of participants each year. Click the photos below to learn more about the Garden's education programs.


Our on-line class calender provides information about our current classes offered and provides you with the ability to register for all of our educational programs on-line. The calendar includes programs from all of the ares below.

Children's programs are designed primarily for kindergarten through 5th grade, but also include programs and activities for pre-K and teens. Many children are introduced to the Garden through school field trips and in-school programs such as Garden Earth Naturalist clubs, but summer camps and other on-site programs are also offered for children. Teacher workshops train teachers providing the confidence, knowledge and resources to teach about environment education in their respective schoolrooms. Topics include endangered plants, Earth's ecosystems, Monarch butterflies, and migratory neotropical birds as a basis for teaching the tenets of environmental education. MORE ABOUT THESE PROGRAMS >>

Adult programs include a variety of lectures, demonstrations, rambles, workshops and hands-on learning opportunities. Subjects include horticulture, botany, gardening, landscape and floral design, birding, botanical illustration and other topics. MORE ABOUT THESE PROGRAMS >>
Other programs and related educational activities engage many others audiences. Family festivals bring varied audiences to the Garden.
