Join the Garden

Looking for a way of becoming more involved in the State Botanical Garden? Want to learn more about educational programs and special events? Then why not join our Friends organization?

The Friends of the Garden is our membership support group. Formed in 1972, this 501(c)(3) charitable organization is dedicated exclusively to supporting The State Botanical Garden of Georgia. As a member of the Friends, you'll enjoy the privileges of membership while supporting the work and mission of the Garden.

Friends members support special events like our annual 5K benefit race and the Sunflower Music Series.

There are a variety of benefits that come with membership. Members can attend the annual meeting, which features a notable "garden celebrity," and other educational programs and special events throughout the year. These programs and events heighten awareness of the Garden while providing information about plants, gardening, landscaping and the natural environment.

You'll enjoy getting to know other Friends members by joining in bus tours to horticultural and botanical points of interest. Past destinations have included fall foliage in the North Georgia mountains, Hills and Dales Estate, Dunnaway Gardens, Park Seed Company, and visits to the Atlanta Garden and Patio Show and Southeastern Flower Show.

A Friends event
As a member, you'll receive Garden News, published quarterly by the Friends and the Garden, special invitations and advance notification of programs and events (most at discounted prices), a 10% discount in the gift shop and café, and on plant sale purchases. And you'll enjoy reciprocal admission privileges at many other botanical gardens, arboreta and conservatories nationwide.

If you are already a member, consider a gift membership. They make wonderful gifts for friends and relatives—a gift that "keeps on giving" throughout the year.

Help the Garden grow—join, renew, or give a membership today. Your membership and support are critical to the ongoing success of the State Botanical Garden.
