| Garden Club of Georgia State Headquarters
The newest building at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia serves as the state headquarters for the Garden Club of Georgia. Designed by Smith Dalia Architects and completed in 1998, the upper level features an imposing entry hall, a formal living room, dining room, board room, and archives room as well as Garden Club administrative offices. The formal rooms are beautifully enhanced with many exceptional architectural details including extensive custom millwork, fine art, porcelains, furniture, custom designed carpets and other decorative details. The upper level, a house museum, is available for tours by appointment but is not available for rental. The Terrace Room, located on the lower level is available for rental.
The Terrace Room is a unique ballroom-like space, known for its elegant décor and tasteful appointments. Opening onto an expansive brick terrace overlooking a wooded area and landscaped garden, its beauty and location distinguish it as one of the premier wedding reception sites in the area. The Terrace Room also offers state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, making it also an ideal location for business meetings and corporate retreats. The Terrace Room accommodates approximately 140 people for seated dinners, and larger numbers for lectures, receptions, and exhibitions. |
![]() The elegant brick building overlooks the International Garden and the Heritage Garden. Rental Information The Terrace Room is available for University functions and to the general public for private events. Rentals are handled through the Botanical Garden Rental Office.
