Minutes of the DLS: July 24, 1942

 


Demosthenian Hall July 15, 1942


The meeting we called to order by President George O. Marshall. The roll was called and the minutes were read and approved.
President Marshall than introduced to the society, the plans for the intra-mural debate and stated that fraternity houses and boarding houses had been notified about the tournament.
A motion was introduced by Robert Joiner

endorsing "the policies and condidacy of Ellis Arnall for the governorship of Georgia."

Edwards opposed the motion. The vote was taken and the resolution was passed by a vote of 29 to 1.
The meeting than adjourned on motion from the floor.
