Daryl Rowe, Adjunct Professor, received the 2004 Walter S. Mangold award at the Annual Educational Conference in Anchorage, Alaska.

Graduate Students

Brad Konwick received an EPA National Network for Environmental Management Studies (NNMES) Fellowship for 2004-05.

Denita Williams won a travel award from the Teratology Society to present her research at the Teratology Society's annual meeting in Vancouver, B.C. in June 2004.

Arena Richardson & Denita Williams were awarded full travel expenses for the Compact for Faculty Diversity’s eleventh annual Institute on Teaching and Mentoring in Atlanta, GA

Kathy Dietzel & Eva McLanahan received travel awards from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences to attend the 2005 Society of Toxicology meeting in New Orleans, March 6-10.

Matthew Henderson & Lonnie Williams won 2nd and 3rd place in the oral competition at the Southeast Chapter of the Society for Toxicology Annual Symposium, Emory University, October 8, 2004. Matthew presented 'Mammaliam metabolism and distribution of perfluorooctyl ethanol and its oxidation metabolites.' Lonnie presented 'Accumulation of Sphingoid Bases and Sphingoid Base 1-Phosphates: A Possible Mechanism for Fusarium verticillioides Corn-Seedling Disease.'

Undergraduate Students

Maria Michelle Lance received a Mark Arden Lea international scholarship for study abroad travel in the amount of $500.00

Antonio Luis received a Joseph H. Marshall International Travel Fellowship and a Mark Arden Lea International Scholarship totalling $500.00 for study abroad travel.

Carrie Lynn Ross received a $1,900.00 Emmory Cocke Scholarship for 2004-2005.
