General Information / Schedule of Activities

The Graduate Recreation Organization (GRO) serves the graduate students in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies in the College of Education. Our organization is mainly a social one, but we also attempt to host educational events and participate in other university activities such as the student activities fair.

Our main goal is to bring together the graduate students from all emphasis and degree areas (Master's, Ed.D., therapeutic recreation, recreation administration, outdoor recreation management) in order to exchange ideas and information in a friendly and social atmosphere.

GRO also works with the Undergraduate Recreation Majors Club as another avenue for the exchange of ideas, answer questions, and assist the undergraduates with their program of study in any way possible.
