PURPOSE: The Golden Key National Honor Society, a nonprofit academic honors organization, recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study, unites with faculty and administrators in developing and maintaining high standards of education, provides economic assistance to outstanding members by means of both undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and promotes altruistic conduct through voluntary service.

ELIGIBILITY: Golden Key National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes academic achievement in college junior and senior undergraduates in all fields of study. Eligibility requirements must be met to join. There are three: 1. You must attend a school where we have a chapter. 2. You must be of junior or senior status at that school. 3. You must be in the top 15% of the junior/senior class (GPA requirements vary at each school. For specific GPA requirements, please contact tojoin@gknhs.gsu.edu.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES: Each August, Society leaders gather to explore and develop their potential at the Golden Key National Convention.

AWARDS: Over $300,000 awarded annually in undergraduate and graduate scholarships Scholarship programs in the visual arts, the performing arts, writing, research and service. Over $2.5 million in scholarships awarded to date
