Mandala exists as a medium for creative
expression by students of African descent here at UGA by publishing poetry,
short fiction and non-fiction, and two dimensional art.
Mandala takes its name from an archetypal symbol used by African
peoples worldwide, to connote eternity, wholeness, and balance, the circle. We
of Mandala will publish work that rethinks,
calls into question, and celebrates unity and diversity of the diaspora.
