POLICIES ON HOLDINGS AND CIRCULATION:
1. Holdings
a. Books, videos and cassette tapes will be loaned or donated to the collection by faculty. Care will be taken to keep track of materials, but faculty should be cautioned that materials may be irretrievable.
b. Journal articles (publication date 1990's) will be donated.
c. All items will be identified as being housed in the EMC.
d. A master list of titles and their owners will be maintained (probably in Wordperfect).
2. Circulation
a. Faculty and staff may borrow any item.
b. Students may borrow any books and journal articles. They may borrow videos or cassettes with faculty approval.
c. Hours for getting materials will be posted or call 542-4169.
d. When borrowing material, student/faculty fill out a sheet of information (name, address, phone, etc.) which is kept on file.
e. Videos and cassettes are expected back in a week, journal article in 1 day, and book due dates may be negotiated. A suggested maximum for media items checked out is three.
f. A return box available 8:00 am to 5:00 pm will be maintained in Room 122.
g. For the return of delinquent materials, the following steps will be taken:
(1) Phone call
(2) Letter
(3) Note from Dean's Office or Multicultural Task Force
