The quartet performs sacred harp hymns and rousing anthems, séance songs, a civil-rights song by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, ballads of courage and compassion from the Revolutionary War, and rollicking freemen's songs. Hesperus rounds out the show with toe-tapping jigs, reels, hornpipes, country dances, and cotillions.
