Superb Gilbert and Sullivan!

New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players
The Pirates of Penzance

CONCERT VERSION WITH ORCHESTRA, CHORUS, AND SOLOISTS
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2008, 7:30PM

Pirate Frederick is on the verge of turning his back on the swashbuckling pirate lifestyle, but is torn between his love for Mable, his desire to eliminate piracy, and his sense of duty. Of course, the final topsy-turvy twist in Gilbert's plot brings all confusion to a happy end. One of Sullivan's greatest scores features such numbers as For He Is A Major-General, Come Friends Who Plow The Sea (the melody is also used for Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here), Poor Wandering One, Pirate King Song, and many more.
