DAVID S. WILLIAMS, Professor of Religion and Director of the Universities Honors Program. His areas of specialization are in Biblical Studies and Judaica. His recent publications include The Structure of 1 Maccabees (Catholic Biblical Quarterly Monograph Series) and commentaries on 1, 2 and 3 Maccabees for the New Interpreter's Study Bible. Dr. Williams is currently working on a book on the history of religion in the state of Georgia. His primary courses include a survey of Judaism and a course on the Holocaust. He received his degree from Hebrew Union College.
