The Scottish Heritage Society is an organization
for the students, faculty, and staff members at the University of Georgia.
This organization was developed to provide its members with information on
Scotland, its history, and culture, and shall focus on many different
objectives. A few of these include: offering information on family
history, teaching people about Scottish history and the influence it has
had on the world, holding numerous social events, mainly on Scottish
holidays, and embarking on trips to Scottish events, such as the many
different Highland games and the Gathering of the Clans. Eventually
we would like to organize Athens' own Highland Games.
