Proseminar in Sociology
Graduate Coordinator: Jody Clay-Warner
All students entering the graduate program in sociology must take during their first year SOCI 6190: Proseminar in Sociology. The purpose is to socialize students into the discipline and profession of sociology, as well as to acquaint students with sociology department faculty. Prior to each session, students are expected to review the vitae/web page of the professor who will be presenting. Students are also expected to ASK QUESTIONS and to BE INVOLVED. Between our faculty and grad students we have literally hundreds of years of collective experience. Take advantage of it!
Unless otherwise noted, all sessions will take place in 114A Baldwin Hall on Thursday from 12:30pm - 1:45pm
