Dr. Joyce Bell

(Curriculum Vitae)Dr. Joyce Bell, Assistant Professor of Sociology and African American Studies, has been at the University of Georgia since 2007. She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota in 2007. Her specialty areas include American race relations, social movements, professions and organizations, multiculturalism, qualitative methodology and civil rights history. Dr. Bell's most recent work examines the relationship between the Civil Rights and Black Power movement, social welfare, and professional social work organizations, 1966-1976.
