Managed the development of CDCynergy, a CD-ROM based planning and
training curriculum widely used in public health agencies and Schools
of Public Health.
Health Communication Program--developed first program in health
communication offered in the U.S. Currently serving as a model
for such universities as UCLA, Univ. of Florida, Villanova University
and Univ. of Western Sydney, Australia. Enrolls approximately 4
doctoral students and 10 masters students per year. Graduates
hold health communication positions in academic institutions,
government health agencies, voluntary health organizations, hospitals,
and health consulting firms.
Developed graduate seminars in research methods, health and the mass
media, and diffusion theory.
Developed undergraduate course in communication theory based on mastery
learning model. Course is self-paced, uses
behavioral objectives, criterion-referenced examinations, and
computer-generated testing.
