National Debate Tournament: The National Championship Debate Tournament.

The University of Georgia Debate Union has qualified to participate in the National Debate Tournament (NDT) forty-four times in the sixty-year history of the event.  Thirty-one of the forty-four bids to the tournament have occurred since 1990.

The 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001 team qualified for the elimination debates at the NDT and finished 9th in the nation.

In 1997 the University of Georgia became the fourth program in the history of the NDT to qualify two teams for the final four. The teams finished second and third in the seventy-eight team field.
