your system before putting it on the UGA campus network.
Obtaining Software
Software for Silicon Graphics workstations at the University of Georgia can be purchased through the Varsity Program administered by the the Office of Information Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Any workstation registered with the program can receive OS upgrades and a large number of software packages at no additional charge. The Electronic Design and Maintenance Shop is the University's vendor for hardware maintenance contracts for Silicon Graphics workstations. Maintenance contracts are handled by a simple sign-up procedure with the Electronics Shop. Contact them for additional information and pricing for your system.
