UUYANListservs and Other CyberUU Groups

Listservs

These are some listservs pertinent to Unitarian Universalism, starting, of course, with our own UGA/Athens UUYAN listserv. Everything needed to join the listservs should be found here; if something doesn't work properly, please contact the list administrator.

UGA/Athens UUYAN
This is a listserv for the greater Athens UUYAN community. It is actually composed of two listservs in one: Listserv 1 (uu-yan-l ... that's the letter L) is for UU-related discussions, thoughts, jokes, questions, etc.. Listserv 2 (uu-yan-2) is for announcements related to the UGA/Athens UUYAN.

To join either listserv, you may contact Scott Bitterman or Suzanne White, the listserv administrators. If you'd rather do it yourself, you can also send an email to listserv@listserv.uga.edu and put in the body of the text 'subscribe uu-yan-l *yourname*' or 'subscribe uu-yan-2 *yourname*' (not in quotes; *yourname* is how you would like your name to appear to the listserv).

The following listservs are described on the UUA Homepage and on a UU site maintained by James Park.

Heart, Mind, & Spirit Listserv
HMS-L: Heart, Mind, & Spirit---an electronic magazine for UUs on campus. The list managers can be e-mailed at HMS-L-request@uua.org.

UU Young Adult Network Listserv
UUYAN-L: UU Young Adult Network. This worldwide mailing list is not maintained by the UUA. For info, email uuyan-info@terraluna.org, with the following information:

Subject: [anything]

Message: [anything]

To subscribe, email listserv@terraluna.org, with the following information:
Subject: [anything]

Message: subscribe UUYAN-L

Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry List
UUCM-L: Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry. This list enables all UUs involved in campus ministry (students, college staff and faculty, staff members of UU campus ministries, members of the governing boards of UU campus ministries, national UUA staff, etc.) to communicate with one another about all issues related to Unitarian Universalist campus ministry.

To subscribe, go to: http://www.uua.org/LISTS/subscribe.html and fill in the blanks on the form.

World Wide Young Adult Congregation List
WWYAC-L: World Wide Young Adult Congregation (now the World Wide Cyber Community). [This Cyber Community includes not only an email list, but also the distribution of Cyber Sermons, and the opportunity to become a member and to create your own membership profile. To see more about membership, click here. --sw]

You may become a SUBSCRIBER to our automated e-mailing list—WWYAC-L— in the following way:

(1) Send an e-mail message to: listproc@uua.org.

(2) Leave the subject line blank.

(3) Type this message: Subscribe WWYAC-L.

(4) Type: Your Name

(5) Send the e-mail message you have created.

The UUA computer automatically copies your e-mail address from your letter. (Thus, you have to send your subscribe message from the e-mail address where you wish to receive messages from the WWYAC.) To remove your name from any UUA mailing list, follow the same directions, except in (3) your message is: sign-off WWYAC-L.

Generation UU Listserv

Generation UU is a group of Unitarian Universalist young adults (in their 20's and 30's) from communities to the west of Boston, Massachusetts. The list managers can be e-mailed at GenUU-L-request@uua.org.
