On behalf of the Graduate and Professional Scholars, I would like to welcome you to our new website and the University of Georgia. GAPS is a student run organization whose main purpose is to serve minority graduate students here at the University of Georgia. True to its name, GAPS fills voids institutionally as well as socially. Socially, GAPS serves as a conduit of relationships that helps to create an organically constituted community filled with compassion, support, and outreach. Institutionally, GAPS serves as an advocate on behalf of minority graduate students and also provides community service opportunities, educational forums, social programming, as well as other opportunities for engagement.
