Apartment descriptions & costs

The Family and Graduate Housing community is located at the south end of campus, near the Driftmeier Engineering Center, Aderhold Hall, Stegman Coliseum, the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Lake Herrick. All three facilities are on campus and city bus routes. The Family and Graduate Housing Office is centrally located within the Family and Graduate Housing community at 710 East Campus Road.

University Village and Rogers Road
The University Village and Rogers Road facilities contain one-bedroom, one-bath apartments; two-bedroom, one-bath apartments; and one bedroom apartments with small studies. Each building is two or three stories tall, with cinderblock or drywall interiors painted off-white, natural wood cabinets, Formica kitchen counter tops, and sliding aluminum-framed windows with Venetian blinds. Floors are tiled in the Rogers Road buildings, while all University Village and Brandon Oaks apartments are now equipped with carpet.

Each apartment includes an electric range, frost-free refrigerator, air conditioner, electric heating, high speed Internet access and cable television service. An ongoing program of renovations is currently underway in all three Family & Graduate Housing communities. Recently renovated buildings feature new appliances; new electrical heating and cooling systems; and video and telecommunications systems. All apartments include free use of on-site laundry rooms, while Building G also has washers and dryers located within each unit.

Brandon Oaks
Located on the Milledge Extension near the Rogers Road apartments, Brandon Oaks is composed of two-bedroom, two-bath units, each with energy-efficient heat pumps, air conditioning, an electric range, a frost-free refrigerator, a dishwasher, washer and dryer, window blinds, and neutral colored-paint and carpeting throughout.

Rental rates
If approved, the rates quoted below will be effective July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, and include water, garbage pickup, cable television, high-speed Internet access, local phone service and pest control, as well as use of in-apartment or community laundry room washers and dryers at no additional cost.

All charges associated with residence in Family and Graduate Housing will be billed through the University of Georgia Student Accounts system, including rent, utilities and any late fees or other charges assessed by the Bursar's office.

2009-2010 Rental Rates
