East Campus Village

Opened in Fall 2004, the East Campus Village (ECV) is a community of four apartment-style residence halls that deliver an unprecedented level of comfort and privacy to more than 1,200 students.

Small groups of two, three and four residents share fully furnished apartments equipped with spacious living rooms and kitchenettes complete with cabinets, a microwave, a kitchen sink and a full size refrigerator. Each resident also enjoys a private bedroom equipped with a full-size bed, a dresser, a desk and a chair, as well as high-speed Internet service and a cable television connection. Apartments are outfitted with one or two full bathrooms, ensuring no more than two residents must share a bathroom. Each apartment is also equipped with a resident-controlled high efficiency heating and cooling unit. Additional ECV residence hall amenities include laundry rooms, study rooms, conference/meeting areas, computer labs and vending areas.

East Campus Village apartments are rented to students on an 11 1/2-month basis. Rent includes all utilities, as well as cable television and high-speed internet access. Because ECV was designed with the independent lifestyles of upper-class and graduate students in mind, returning students have priority based on number of terms in housing, UGA credit hours earned, and UGA grade point average. All incoming new students are eligible to apply for ECV after all returning students have been assigned.

East Campus Village residence halls are completely coeducational, with male and female apartments found throughout all buildings. Visitors are allowed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

East Campus Village is conveniently located near two parking decks, the Ramsey Student Physical Activities Center, the University Health Center, the Performing and Visual Arts Complex and the dining facility and shops of the new East Village Commons.
